§ Mr. John PattenSince 1 January 1987, the information collected centrally does not separately distinguish 289W contravention of regulation 7(1) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, although information for 1986 indicated that there were fewer than 400 prosecutions nationally for vehicles with excessive dimensions. The information available for 1987 on prosecutions for vehicles in a dangerous or defective condition, is for all forces and is shown in table 5 of "Offences relating to motor vehicles, England and Wales, 1987, Supplementary tables".
