§ Mr. ChopeWe have published proposals to simplify and improve the development plan system in the White Paper "The Future of Development Plan"—Cm. 569. The study of planning control in Western Europe does not indicate the need for any immediate additional changes, but it provides valuable information which we shall take into account in our continuing review of the planning system.
