§ Mr. Wyn RobertsAllocations for trunk road maintenance are made annually on a county area basis. Allocations for 1989–90 will be announced shortly. Provision for county councils for maintenance of their roads in 1989–90 formed part of rate support grant settlement. Grant is allocated according to need on the basis of arrangements agreed by the Welsh Consultative Council on Local Government Finance.
