§ 87. Mr. Bell
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his latest estimate of the manufacturing trade deficit in 1989.

The Financial Statement and Budget Report for 1989–90 shows a forecast deficit in manufactured trade in 1989 of£151/2 billion.

§ 90. Mr. Beith
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his latest estimate of the deficit in trade in manufactures for 1990–91.

§ Mr. Major
The Financial Statement and Budget Report for 1989–90 provides a forecast of the manufactured trade balance for 1989 only. Forecasts of the balance in later years are not published.
