To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what recent representations he has received regarding the British footwear industry.

Since I replied to a similar question from the hon. Member on 15 February at column305 of the Official Report for 16 February a number of hon. Members have made known to me the concerns of their constituents.

I am taking a close interest in this matter and in the outcome of the Commission's investigation into imports of footwear from Taiwan and South Korea.
