HC Deb 19 April 1989 vol 151 cc229-30W
Mr. Tony Banks

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment which London boroughs currently supply his Department with information about development decisions in London; which boroughs do not; and what steps he is taking to ensure that all boroughs supply the information necessary for his proposed development monitoring system in London.

Mr. Chope

[holding answer 13 April 1989]: Enfield, Haringey, Lewisham, Sutton and Waltham Forest are the only London boroughs which do not regularly provide the Department with information about development decisions. Officials are in communication with those boroughs in an effort to encourage them to provide the information.

The Department has set up a pilot study with the London planning advisory committee into establishing a development monitoring system with the co-operation of all the boroughs.
