To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the progress of Business Growth Through Training.

Mr. Cope

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State launched business growth training on 11 April 1989. The reaction that we have had from employers has been most encouraging. The Training Agency will be evaluating the impact of the new programme on business performance.
