§ Mr. ForthAn ethnic survey of DTI staff was completed in April 1988. The resulting data base is continuously updated.
§ Mr. JannerTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what steps he has taken to recruit members of ethnic minorities in top grades of employment at the Department of Trade and Industry.
§ Mr. ForthRecruitment to senior grades is normally conducted on the Department's behalf by the Civil Service Commission. On those few occasions when DTI recruits directly, the Department makes clear in its advertisements that it is an equal opportunity employer.
