HC Deb 13 April 1989 vol 150 cc633-4W
Mr. Fraser

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science how quickly he will come to a conclusion on the application under section 12 of the Education Act for the closure of Tulse Hill school and the amalgamation with William Penn boys school in Red Post hill, London SE24.

Mr. Butcher

The proposals concerning Tulse Hill and William Penn schools are under consideration by my right hon. Friend. On 6 February, the Department wrote to the Inner London education authority and the boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark to consult them on a possible modification to the proposals. The responses to that letter are being considered and a decision is expected shortly.
