§ Mr. FreemanApnoea simply means without breath. It can be normal, as with deglutition apnoea which occurs in swallowing, or abnormal, as a result of a number of medical conditions. It may occur on a temporary basis as a consequence of treatment, for example during the administration of an anaesthetic.
