(2) if he will publish a list of those pesticides which are on his Red List for priority review.

Member to the answer I gave on 10 April, which included the initial list of priority substances posing a particular risk for the aquatic environment (the Red List) selected primarily on the basis of their toxicity, persistence, and liability to bio-accumulate. Of the substances on that list, the following have been or can be used as pesticides:

- gamma-Hexachlorocyclohexane
- DDT
- Pentachlorophenol
- Hexachlorobenzene
- Aldrin
- Dieldrin
- Endrin
- Dichlorvos
- Atrizine
- Simazine
- Tributyltin and triphenyltin compounds
- Trifluralin
- Fenitrothion
- Azinphos-methyl
- Malathion
- Endosulfan
