To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a further statement on his timetable to privatise the Skills Training Agency.

§ Mr. Cope
As my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State made clear in his statement on 13 March, it is important for sale to proceed as rapidly as possible. It is not possible to specify a timetable precisely at this stage, but we intend that the sale process should be completed as soon as possible after the relevant provisions of the Employment Bill have received Royal Assent.
