§ Mr. LeeBetween June 1987 and September 1988, the latest date for which figures are available, there was an increase of 363,000 in the civilian work force in employment in the south-east region. The civilian work force in employment is the sum of employees in employment, the self-employed and participants in work-related Government training programmes. Comparisons of data for June 1987 and September 1988 are affected by seasonal variations. Seasonally adjusted employment estimates are not available for regions.
