Mr. Austin Mitchell

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish in theOfficial Report a table showing for single persons, one-earner married couples and two-earner married couples above and below pension age the number of tax units in each revenue band of £1,000 to £15,000, £2,500 to £25,000 and in available bands thereafter, together with the forecast revenue from income tax in each case.

Provisional estimates for the 1989–90 tax regime, based on a projection of the 1986–87 survey of personal incomes, are given in the table.
