§ Mr. David PorterTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether any of the sites nominated in 1988 for inclusion in the World Heritage list have been accepted.
§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyAt its meeting last December in Brasilia, the World Heritage committee agreed that the following three sites should be inscribed in the list:
- Henderson Island, South Pacific ocean
- The Tower of London
- Canterbury cathedral, St. Augustine's abbey and St. Martin's church
- For consideration by the committee in 1989, the sites we have nominated are:
- Cambridge colleges and the Backs
- Navan Fort, Northern Ireland
- Maes Howe and Brogar, Orkney Islands
