All operational staff have received some training of this kind and over 75 per cent. have seen a specially made prison service training film. This is a continuing programme. Prisoners have access to a wide range of educational material including videofilms and leaflets. A new educational package produced by the Department centrally for use throughout the prison service will be brought into use in the near future.
