§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonFollowing a draft feasibility report by consulting engineers in April 1987 further investigative work was commissioned, including ground and aerial surveys and an update of the traffic study. A report of the findings is due in summer 1989 and it is anticipated that a decision on a preferred route will be made shortly thereafter.
