HC Deb 31 October 1988 vol 139 c552W
Mr. Wray

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what response he proposes to make to the report of the consumer group Buswatch, a copy of which has been sent to him.

Mr. Portillo

The findings recorded in the Buswatch report are based on incomplete and impressionistic responses. A survey of public opinion in the shire counties, carried out recently by the transport and road research laboratory and to be published in the near future, indicates that people are generally satisfied with their bus services. Buses are now running more frequently and few complaints were recorded about the availability of information.
