§ Mr. Michael SpicerThe Government intend to continue their support of BCE's valuable work in helping to provide new job opportunities for coalfield communities. I am satisfied that BCE has made effective use of the £40 million previously provided, which has now been fully committed. Accordingly, the Government have agreed to British Coal's request that a further £20 million be made available to the company.
