To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether the appointment of Sir Colin Chandler as head of defence export services made for three years in 1985 has been extended; and if he will make a statement.

I can confirm that the appointment of Sir Colin Chandler as head of defence export services has been extended to March 1989.
