§ Mr. NichollsAt the end of last year the Health and Safety Commission published draft proposals for regulations to implement European Community directive 86/188/EEC on the protection of workers from noise. It is now considering the comments made on those proposals. My right hon. Friend plans to introduce the necessary legislation on noise at work when he has received the Commission's final recommendations.
