To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster how many of the 286 proposals to complete the European Economic Community internal market(a) have been agreed and implemented, or (b) are yet to be agreed; and if he will list them.

Of the 286 proposals set out in the European Commission's third report on the implementation of the internal market programme, issued in March this year, 118 have so far been wholly or partially agreed and 168 have yet to be agreed. I am writing to the hon. Member with a full list of these measures and will arrange for a copy of my letter to be placed in the Library of the House. A comprehensive and regularly updated summary of progress on individual single market measures is available on my Department's Spearhead computer database.
