§ Mr. BrookeCivil Service leave allowances compare favourably with those offered by other employers, and their competitiveness will increase still further as improvements already agreed are brought in. From 1 April 1991 all non-industrial civil servants with one year's service will enjoy five weeks' leave, arising to six weeks after 10–20 years service, depending on grade.
