§ Mrs. Virginia Bottomley[holding answer 24 October]: I met a delegation from the council on 29 September 1988 at their request, to receive their representations about the 1989–90 rate support grant settlement and about European regional development fund grant. The council is also in regular contact with officials of this Department on various matters.
