§ Mrs. CurrieAlthough detailed information is not available, I understand that nearly all health authorities mount health education campaigns which include a strong element of self-help. Health promotion is normally considered as part of ministerial reviews and we expect all health authorities to make active progress on the prevention of ill health through health promotion.
During the first year of the "Look After your Heart" campaign, grants were made to 95 health authorities to support heart disease prevention projects at local level, and 57 health authorities took stands and four showed their "health buses" at the first anniversary event of "Look After your Heart" at the National Exhibition centre, Birmingham in May.
