To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has now received the revised structure plan, as amended by Kent county council; and if he will indicate when he is likely to issue his decision upon the proposed revision.

My right hon. Friend received the second review and alterations to the Kent structure plan on 15 January 1988. An examination in public was held in July and August by an independent panel under the chairmanship of Professor Gerald Smart. Their report is expected before the end of the year. My right hon. Friend's response to the proposed alterations will be issued as soon as possible after that.
