HL Deb 26 October 1988 vol 500 cc1696-7WA
Lord Northfield

asked Her Majesty's Governmen:

Why extended time is needed to draft and lay before Parliament an order bringing deer within the terms of the Movement of Animals (Records) Order 1960.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Baroness Trumpington)

It remains the Government's intention to bring deer within the terms of the Movement of Animals (Records) Order 1960 as soon as possible within the constraints of my department's resources.
