Mr. Amess

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many convictions there were for dangerous driving in the United Kingdom in each of the past five years;

(2) how many convictions there were for dangerous driving in the Basildon area in each of the past five years.

The information which could be provided without disproportionate cost is given in the table. The offence of dangerous driving was repealed in 1978.
