To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will place in the Library(a) a list of all bathing beaches in Wales that complied in 1988 with the EEC directive on bathing waters and (b) a list of those that did not.

The data collected by the water authorities during the 1988 bathing season are not due to be submitted to the Department until the end of November. In due course I shall, in conjunction with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment, arrange for a copy of the results to be placed in the Library.
