§ Mr. PortilloIt is for London Regional Transport to bring forward proposals for new rolling stock as and when it considers it appropriate. Sixteen new trains are currently being brought into service and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has recently approved the acquisition of 85 new trains as part of the modernisation of the Central line at a cost of over £700 million.
