§ Mr. SteenTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) how many section 90 (Town and Country Planning Act 1971) stop notices were served by local authorities in each of the last three years;
(2) if he will list the number of prosecutions which were instigated in each of the last three years by local authorities as a result of failure to observe the requirements of section 90 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971.
(3) how many stop notices have been issued by local authorities since March 1987 following his Department's revised guidance about stop notices in DoE circular 4/87.
§ Mr. ChopeI regret that none of the information requested by my hon. Friend is available and it could be obtained from local planning authorities only at disproportionate cost.
