§ Dr. CunninghamTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received from authorities following his announcement on 7 July freezing the rate support grant system on the basis of data held by him at midnght on 6 July.
§ Mr. RidleyI have received representations from about 60 local authorities on my proposals to introduce a Bill to Parliament to implement the policy put forward on 7 July. My officials have also had two meetings with the local authority associations at which representations were made.
