HC Deb 24 October 1988 vol 139 c48W
Mr. Michael Morris

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is Her Majesty's Government's funding directly and indirectly to the Pan-American Health Organisation in the current financial year; and whether there has been any previous funding.

Mr. Chris Patten

The British Government do not make a direct contribution to the Pan-American Health Organisation. The Pan-American Health Organisation receives support from member states and from its parent body the World Health Organisation. In 1988–89 we are providing £16.6 million in support of the World Health Organisation's regular budget and a number of special programmes.
