§ Mr. Peter LloydNone. Guidance contained in the social fund manual makes it clear that crisis loans will usually be made by giro cheque payable to the applicant. Social fund officers may however decide to make a payment wholly, or in part, by voucher if this is likely to be to the benefit of the applicant or his family. We have no plans to alter this guidance.
