Mr. Portillo

My predecessor, my hon. Friend the Member for Hampshire, North-West (Sir D. Mitchell) met the chairman and other representatives of the public transport committee of the Association of Metropolitan Authorities on 2 March. The meeting discussed the Government's proposals for the future financing arrangements for the passenger transport authorities. I am due to meet the AMA on 3 November.
