§ Mrs. RumboldThe Education Reform Act provides an opportunity for all secondary schools and primary schools with more than 300 pupils to apply for grant-maintained status if parents so wish. The Department has received inquiries from a large number of parents, governors and others about these provisions of the Act, including some relating to schools in the north-west.
