To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what response there has been from farmers to the new farm woodland scheme.

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many farmers have expressed interest in the new farm woodland scheme since its introduction on 1 October.

Mr. Ryder

As the scheme has only been operational since 1 October, it is too early to give any figures for uptake. There has, however, been substantial interest amongst farmers and the scheme's information literature has been in demand.
