§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThe majority of international trade in vicuna products from the United Kingdom in recent years has been to Japan. The total exports (in kg) for the years 1983 to 1987 to Japan and to the rest of the world were:

The apparent discrepancy between the United Kingdom and Japanese statistics has been resolved and full details of the exports concerned were contained in my letter of 29 September 1988 to the hon. Member.
