§ Mr. Menzies CampbellTo ask the Minister for the Arts whether, in the light of the publication of the PSI Myerscough report on the economic importance of the arts in Britain, a copy of which has been sent to him, he will make it his policy to increase investment in the arts and entertainment industry.
§ Mr. LuceThe PSI report is a valuable contribution to understanding the role of the arts within the economy. It illustrates how useful developments can be funded by a partnership between public and private interests. It is one of the objectives of the three-year funding programme which I announced last year to stimulate such plural funding of the arts.
