§ Mr. SpearingTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps he has taken to publicise the availability of the Treaty Series No. 47 (1988) treaties establishing the European Communities (CM. 455).
§ Mrs. ChalkerI am grateful for this opportunity to draw the attention of the House to the consolidated version of the three basic Community treaties as amended by the Single European Act, recently published by HMSO. Copies of the Command Paper have been deposited in the Library of the House.
Publication of the Cm. 455 was announced in HMSO's Daily List and on Prestel in the normal way. It will be listed in HMSO's September monthly catalogue and will be one of the featured titles in the July-September "New Books from HMSO" leaflet.
In addition, HMSO is planning to mail fuller details, with information on other titles of European interest, to some 5,000 bookshops, businesses and libraries shortly.
