§ Mr. Peter LloydIndependent research exploring the motivations and perceptions of lone parents receiving benefits has been commissioned from Professor Jonathan 263W Bradshaw of the social policy research unit at York university and Dr. Jane Millar of the centre for the analysis of social policy at Bath university.
A study of factors influencing the economic activity of lone parents, using family expenditure survey data, has also been commissioned from the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
