§ 57. Ms. Abbott
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether he has discussed with his North Atlantic Treaty Organisation colleagues any new proposals to limit nuclear testing.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether he has discussed with his North Atlantic Treaty Organisation colleagues any proposals to limit nuclear testing.

§ Mr. Archie Hamilton
The United States and the Soviet Union are currently engaged in talks and joint verification experiments with the aim of ratifying the threshold test ban treaty and the peaceful nuclear explosions treaty. United Kingdom and NATO Ministers have been kept informed of the current state of negotiations.
