To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what liaison arrangements exist in respect of military hospitals.

Liaison is maintained at varying levels. First, between the local GPs and civilian and military hospitals, and between the military hospitals and area health authorities. Higher level liaison takes place between the Defence medical services and the regional health authorities and the Department of Health.
