§ Mr. Peter BottomleyOur primary concern is with encouraging safer cycling by reducing the scope for conflict with other road users. We have a continuous programme of research and application studies from which we are able to develop publicity, technical advice and engineering standards. We have a well-established series of technical publications, which are available in the Library. I shall arrange for a set to be sent to the hon. Member direct. We are just about to consult local authorities and other organisations on a further local transport note. This aims to draw together the results of much of our recent work.
