§ Mr. WrayTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will lay before Parliament information regarding(a) the state of the sewage system, (b) the state of the drinking water system, (c) the levels of contamination of water used for drinking purposes or for irrigation, (d) the main sources of water pollution and (e) the commercial value of land owned by the water authorities in the United Kingdom prior to the debate on the legislation on the privatisation of the water industry.
§ Mr. MoynihanOn 20 July my right hon. Friend laid before Parliament the annual report and accounts of the nine regional water authorities in which these matters are properly dealt with and he expects to present the 1988–89 reports and accounts in the same way during the summer.
