§ Mr. JackTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many pensioner tax units receive occupational pensions; and if he will break down this figure into bands of occupational pension income of £1,000, up to a maximum or £20,000.
§ Mr. Norman LamontProvisional estimates for 1987–88 based on a projection of the 1985–86 survey of personal incomes are in the table. The estimates cover only those aged tax units where the Inland Revenue has records; many aged tax units with small amounts of occupational pensions will not have records. A more detailed income analysis would be unreliable.
