§ Mr. Chris PattenGross British bilateral aid to Mozambique in 1987, the latest year for which figures are available, was £22.8 million, including expenditure on Southern African Development Co-ordination Conference (SADCC) projects in Mozambique. The main elements were programme aid (£5.2 million), project aid (£5.1 million) disaster relief (£4.6 million) and food aid (£4.5 million). Mozambique was our seventh largest bilateral recipient last year.
