Mr. Mellor

Nurses, along with all other NHS employees, who have more than one year's service are entitled to 18 weeks paid maternity leave. Those with more than two years' service are additionally entitled to unpaid maternity leave until the end of the 29th week after the week of confinement. In all cases, additional unpaid leave may be granted at the discretion of the employing authority.
