To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when the public inquiry into proposed tolls increase at the Severn bridge will be held.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

The inquiry will open on 21 February 1989. It will be held at the Armstrong halls, Thornbury, near Bristol. Formal notice of the inquiry will be given in due course.
