§ Mr. ButcherResponsibility for taking measures to minimise the risk of violence occurring in schools rests with the head teacher and governing body, as part of their responsibility for maintaining discipline. My right hon. Friend has set up a committee of inquiry to recommend action which can be taken by all concerned to promote good discipline in schools. He expects to receive the committee's report shortly.
